Dr. Kelsey Bertamus
Hospital Director and Veterinarian
Dr. Kelsey received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Environmental Policy from Northwestern University. A Minnesotan through and through, she returned to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. She also holds a Certificate in Shelter Medicine from the University of Florida. She strongly believes that the human-animal bond is the foundation of both responsible pet ownership and veterinary medicine. Her special interests include geriatric care, preventative medicine, surgery, nutrition, and metabolic disease. Dr. Kelsey is committed to maintaining open communication with Mission clients in order to provide the best care possible for their furry family members. Dr. Kelsey and her husband, Andrew, are the proud parents of a bossy cat, named Polly, as well as two sweet dogs, named Luna & Phoebe. In her spare time, Dr. Kelsey enjoys hiking, backpacking, exercising, and traveling.
